This presentation examines why traditional behavioral weight loss programs may not be appropriate for many individuals experiencing compulsive overeating. It highlights the connections between stress, eating behaviors, and metabolic disease risk, and discusses how mindfulness-based interventions may help disrupt the stress–disease cycle and support healthier long-term outcomes.
